Get it? Like... Oprah's favorite things. I hope you got the reference.
If you didn't, this probably seems pretty awkward and a little pretentious. If you did, it probably still seems pretty awkward and a little pretentious. Having acknowledged this, let's move forward.

Here, I present to you, Zan's (my) favorite things, where I show you the British versions of my favorite things that I ran into while exploring London this week. However, unlike Oprah, I'm not giving out free stuff. What do you expect, I'm in LONDON, all my money is spent on nutella and new umbrellas for when the rain destroys my previous umbrellas...

Still, I hope the educational experience alone is enough for you.

1. Capri-Sun
This is a beautiful throwback to my childhood, and therefore it's fitting that it's first.

2. Salad
(Okay, anyone who knows me, will know that this is most definitely not one of my favorite things. But look how LOL-worthy this sign is. 100% British iceberg lettuce.

3. Kit-Kat
Favorite Candy Bar. Bigger, and with a prettier wrapper. AKA, better.

4. Frosted Flakes
Wow, so lot of these are definitely throwbacks to my childhood hahaha. I LOVE cereal, and since I can't really cook, I've been eating epic amounts of it for meals since I moved into the flat. That, and Nutella (Try putting frosted flakes into Nutella! ...Then, tell me how it is, because I'm SO curious and like hell I'm going to be the guinea pig on that one...)

5. Lays Potato Chips
I don't have a lot to say about this. Basically these look and taste exactly like Lays, so... I bought 5 bags for the flat...

6. Cosmo
Yeah, I know, you expected better from me. Well, guess what? I love Cosmo. AND I read it for the articles. Nobody's perfect. Thus far, I'm quite impressed with the UK version of Cosmo.

7. NETFLIX
I have mixed feelings about the UK version of Netflix. One, at least it exists (seriously Hulu? get it together). Also, new episodes of Breaking Bad are added immediately after they air. If that's not clutch, I don't know what is. However, some movies just don't exist on British Netflix. Like, what if I want to watch Blue Valentine for the 3 billionth time...?

8. Barnes and Noble
This is a large UK bookstore chain, like Barnes and Noble! I live across the street from this one, Waterstone's Gower Street. It's huge, beautiful and also the largest academic bookstore in Europe, so it has some awesomely eclectic customers and makes for a quality people watching experience.. I spent roughly three hours wandering the floors of this one, and it's super homey. Also, not overly air conditioned... winning.

9. T.J. Maxx
If you don't know what this store is, you should probably just go. (jk... sort of) But seriously, go there, it's gold. T.K. Maxx is the UK's T.J. Maxx, though like all things British, it's a bit pricier.

10. Frozen Yogurt
London has a froyo place called Snog. I hope you recognize why this is so LOL-worthy. Especially with the killer tagline "Snogging is healthy and 100% natural." If you don't, look up what "snog" means in British slang. Just to clarify, this last one is making an appearance on Zan's favorite things because of the frozen yogurt and not the snogging. I won't be making any statements about the latter at this time.

But, look how cute this froyo shop is! Note the epic lights. Also, thank god the UK has froyo, or I probably wasn't going to last very long here.
